Mrs. Beki Broome
Mrs. Beki Broome is a special education parapro at AMS. She is a graduate of Forest Park Senior High School in Forest Park, Georgia. She graduated from Clayon Junior College and Georgia State University.
Mrs. Broome is in her second year at AMS. She has been a parapro for fourteen years.
She is married to Mark Broome, Sr, and she has three children.
Mrs. Tina Castro
Mrs. Tina Castro is a special education parapro at AMS. She is a graduate of Armuchee High School. She attended Floyd Junior College.
Mrs. Castro is in her fourth year at AMS. As a student, Mrs. Clement, her Earth Science teacher, was a person who had a positive impact on Mrs. Castro’s life. “She brought in rocks and fossils for us to examine. Today, I still enjoy looking for fossils and checking out the different layers in the rocks I find,” states Mrs. Castro.
“Follow directions,” is Mrs. Castro’s advise to students.
When she is not working, Mrs. Castro could be found cross stitching or crocheting. Her favorite author is Nancy Farmer.
Mr. Sidney B. Ford
Mr. Sidney B. Ford, Sr. is the In-School Suspension (ISS) coordinator for AMS. He is a graduate of West Rome High School. He attends college at Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
Mr. Ford has been a parapro at AMS for five years. Mr. Ford states that Mr. Jackson from West Rome High was a teacher who had a positive impact on his life. “He taught me character, respect, and values,” states Mr. Ford.
Mr. Ford advice to students: “A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.”
When Mr. Ford is not working at AMS or pastoring his church, he enjoys baseball, politics, and football.
Ms. Sarah Messex
Ms. Sarah Messex is a special education parapro at AMS. She is a graduate of Cass High School.
She has been a parapro for twelve years, this being her second at AMS. As a student, she was inspired by her high school math teacher, Coach Brown.
Ms. Messex has two girls, two boys, and two grandsons. In her free time, she enjoys camping and swimming.
Mrs. Mary Wacker
Mrs. Mary Wacker is a special education parapro at AMS. She is a graduate of Armuchee High School and Coosa Valley Tech.
She has been working at AMS for ten years. Her advice to students: “Always do your best. That is all anyone can ever ask of you.”
Mrs. Wacker states that Brenda Atkins was a teacher who had a positive impact on her life.
Mrs. Wacker enjoys reading the works of Anne Rice and P. S. Cast. She also enjoys spending time with her family, reading vampire novels, watching horror movies, and laughing at a good joke.
