Mrs. Jeanie Hubbard


Mrs. Hubbard received a bachelor's and master's degree from University of West Georgia and a specialist's degree from Jacksonville State University.  She began her teaching career with Floyd County Schools in 1990.  Mrs. Hubbard taught for 16 years in grades 3 - 8 before becoming an administrator.

When Mrs. Hubbard is not working, she is spending time with her husband and four children.  She believes that being involved is the best way  to love school.  Her favorite quote: "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is notpath and leave a trail" - Ralph Waldo Emmerson


Mrs. Jill Thacker
Assistant Principal



Mrs. Thacker is a graduate of Armuchee High School. She is a college graduate of Floyd College, Shorter College, Kennesaw State University, and Piedmont College.
Mrs. Thacker is in her sixteenth year at AMS, this being her fifth as an assistant principal. As a student, Mrs. Barbara Tumblin was a teacher that had a positive impact on her life. “She was ahead of her time. We worked in groups, completed projects, rarely used our textbooks, etc. It wasn’t the same as a regular ‘traditional’ classroom.”

When she is not working at AMS, she enjoys spending time with her family and lying on the beach reading a book. Her favorite quote: “Your life is what your thought make it,” Marcus Aurelius.
