Mrs. Jill Thacker
Assistant Principal

Mrs. Thacker is a graduate of Armuchee High School. She is a college graduate of Floyd College, Shorter College, Kennesaw State University, and Piedmont College.

Mrs. Thacker is in her sixteenth year at AMS, this being her fifth as an assistant principal. As a student, Mrs. Barbara Tumblin was a teacher that had a positive impact on her life. “She was ahead of her time. We worked in groups, completed projects, rarely used our textbooks, etc. It wasn’t the same as a regular ‘traditional’ classroom.”

When she is not working at AMS, she enjoys spending time with her family and lying on the beach reading a book. Her favorite quote: “Your life is what your thought make it,” Marcus Aurelius.
